6/15/2009 Goodbye Robbie
EGHS extends its prayers, thoughts and condolences to Lynn, Rob, Greg, Luke, Elizabeth, Sherry, Emma Claire, Henry and Catherine for the passing of Robinson O. Everett on Friday at the age of 81. As a husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed. As a lawyer, professor, thinker, jurist, broadcaster, real estate developer, philanthropist, businessman and community steward, he cannot be matched. As our friend, teacher, colleague, confidant and supporter, we remain forever in his debt. Upon meeting Robinson, one could not help but be taken immediately by his friendliness, humility and gentility. If you had the opportunity to know him any better - and most did - you were quickly impressed by his energy and intellect. His warm smile and genuine interest in everyone he touched brought joy wherever he went. Ever humble, oftentimes those who knew him well had no idea just how much he accomplished throughout his amazing life as he was never one to trade on what happened yesterday. He constantly focused his interests and energy on today and looked forward to what was going to take place tomorrow. We are sad for the passing of our friend and colleague. To some he was "Judge Everett," "Professor Everett," or "Robinson." To us, he was our friend, "Robbie." For more on Robbie's remarkable life and accomplishments see:
