Estate and Tax Planning
Louis Wooten, who has 15 years of experience in estate planning and administration for both modest and high-value estates, leads this practice area. He has represented many family-owned and other closely held businesses with respect to a wide array of estate, tax and non-tax business planning issues. Louis received his LL.M. in Taxation from Emory University and clerked for two years on the United States Tax Court for the Honorable Robert P. Ruwe. Larry McBennett emphasizes to clients the need to make intentions clear when providing for the family during life and after death. He has advised numerous families make arrangements for the transfer of assets, care of children and appointment of an agent to manage financial and medical decisions later in life. |
